We are thrilled to announce that Bilal’s Stand has been accepted to the Sundance Film Festival’s NEXT category. According to John Cooper, the Director of Sundance, (as quoted in the Hollywood Reporter), the NEXT category “is designed to cordon off space for low and no-budget filmmaking and is a showcase for eight ‘younger, fresher’ American filmmakers that live and breathe true indie spirit.”

I will have no idea if you will get this or not Sultan, but I wish to help Beyond Blue Productions, I know you’re a busy man. I wish to continue to work with you after the semister at Western. When I join and become a Senior, I wish to help you with your journey anyway I can because I enjoy the teachings you taught me of the film industry and im willing to learn more. I want to help and work for Beyond Blue. I don’t care if I get paid or not, I just want to help and accomplish your dream because you are a hard working American Film-maker and I admire that.
