The Best Movie Shower or Bath Scenes

The thing about movie shower scenes is that they always seem to be sexual. But for us, that’s always been a little disappointing (we swear!) because real life showers aren’t always like that. So here, we are featuring shower scenes that are really only about good clean fun (it’s possible!) and getting a little weird (more in this later).

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

There is probably no Hollywood shower scene more entertaining than the one in the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. That scene shows exactly why singing in the shower is so much fun. And so, if you also got time to play hooky, shower and sing like Ferris does. All you need is a shower head and a stream of hot water (see tankless water heater reviews here for your own supply of warm water). And oh, don’t forget the rockstar mohawk when you sing.

Elf Movie Shower Scene

We think the shower scene in “Elf” is monumental because it reminds people of a lost innocence. The character Will Ferrell plays has no concept of personal space, obviously. He awkwardly follows a woman (Zooey Deschanel) into a public bathroom because she sounds beautiful when she sings. What happened next was a cute, albeit weird, duet between the two characters.

Honorable Mentions

The opening of “Psycho” is one of the most iconic shower scenes ever featured in a movie, and it’s one of the creepiest. Possibly one of the reasons this scene is so creepy is that it could happen to anyone. The bathroom is likely the most vulnerable place to be, and it’s easy for anyone to be caught off guard.

In contrast, the Starship Troopers’ shower scene is probably one of the most pointless ever. And that’s exactly why it’s on this article. In the scene, some men and women are shown showering together in a group area. That’s it. Sometimes, you only need to show insignificant things to get featured in our blog.
